What is Genes DayTM
Genes Day provides a fun and interesting way for those in schools and the workplace to raise awareness of mosaic Down syndrome and Down syndrome and raise money for research and outreach programs at the same time! Everyone likes to be comfortable and wear their jeans for a day! Genes Day provides a great excuse to wear your jeans for the day and help others at the same time! Participants pay to wear their jeans for the day and in turn learn more about all forms of Down syndrome and spread awareness too! A typical donation for those participating in Genes Day is $1-$20. However, any amount donated is greatly appreciated and you can never donate too little or too much!
Why March 21st?
March 21st is World Down Syndrome Day. We realize that March 21 st falls on a Christian holiday. If your participating business or school is closed for that day, you can celebrate your Genes Day event on March 20 th or any day that works for you.

What if my team raises the most money?
The top three fundraising teams will receive a gift basket full of helpful and fun information and promotions. All teams will be tracked through your Chip-in Widget (see how to make a team) and all money must be received by March 31st in order to be considered the Top Fundraising Team.
Do I receive something even if I am not the top fundraiser?
Yes! Each participant donating $25 or more will receive a special Genes Day T-shirt! (Team leaders must send IMDSA number of shirts and sizes and shirts will be sent to team leaders to distribute) All orders must be in by March 7th in order to receive your T-shirts in time for Genes Day. All orders are subject to approval.
Why do I want to make a team?
The top three fundraising teams will receive a gift basket full of helpful and fun information and promotions. Top fundraising teams will be listed on IMDSA's site and in MOSAIC WORLD's Spring Edition
What else do I get for donating?
All team leaders raising $100.00 or more will receive a complimentary one year membership and all the benefits that entails
How do I promote my team?
After you have created a widget page and created your team, be sure to ask your friends & family to add it to any of their My Space pages or Blogs. Also be sure to send the link to us to make sue that it gets displayed on our Genes Day webpage!!
